Read the comments regarding Trinity Catholic: State of Illinois Compliance Review (4/26/24): “Last week, my office conducted a compliance review for Trinity Catholic in LaSalle. I am reaching out to provide recognition for principal Deb Myers. What a wonderful job she is doing! She was well prepared for the compliance visit; all necessary evidence documents were well organized and available. Our team interviewed her on a number of compliance questions in which she was very knowledgeable and confident in providing additional details when needed. In touring the school, students were actively learning throughout each class visited. The school culture was very positive. Teachers classrooms were neat and educationally stimulating, and the teachers greeted us warmly and were happy to talk about what classroom activities were occurring. The school building was clean, organized, and well kept. Several building improvements including new classroom flooring had been completed since our last visit. You have a great leader in Deb. She has done an amazing job in all of her work to foster a terrific learning environment for students.”

Who we are...
Catholicism first came to the Illinois Valley in 1673 when Father Jacques Marquette and Louis Jolliet travelled upstream on the Illinois River. After years of Mass being offered in private homes, the Holy Cross Church was founded in LaSalle in 1838. Sister Vincentia and her sisters from the Daughters of Charity began the St. Vincent School on 2nd Street in LaSalle in 1854. It was the first school in LaSalle and the first Catholic School in the Diocese of Peoria. Today LaSalle is served by St. Hyacinth and St. Patrick Parishes. Trinity Catholic Academy (TCA) is a ministry of these parishes and builds on a proud history of Catholic education in LaSalle that dates back over 150 years.
Trinity Catholic Academy’s mission is to provide a quality education in the Roman Catholic tradition to students of all faiths through development of spirit, mind, and body. Partnering with parents, TCA strives to help each student develop a personal relationship with God and a commitment to serving others.
To accomplish this mission, TCA employs a dedicated staff with a combined 290+ years of experience. Parent, parish, and community involvement in the process of education gives our students a sense of purpose and a wider perspective. And while we stand firmly on our tradition, we incorporate the latest in educational methods and technologies. Currently serving over 150 students, TCA currently has room for new families to enroll.
