- Wisdom is the gift perspective, being able to see what is most important in life. The gift of wisdom helps you to avoid the things that could lead you away from God.
- Understanding is the gift of comprehension, our ability to see things clearly and see how they work together.
- Knowledge is the gift of enlightenment. It is not so much about "book knowledge" but the fundamental knowledge of who we are, who God is, and how this relationship informs our world.
- Right Judgment, or Counsel, is the gift of prudence. It helps us apply the above three gifts in the here and know. Think of a counselor giving good advice in a given situation. It is about applying principles to the current situation.
- Courage, or Fortitude, is the gift that helps you stand up for your faith in Christ. The gift of courage helps you overcome any obstacles that would keep you from practicing your faith.
- Reverence, or Piety, is the gift to recognize and treat holy things as holy. We reverence sacred places like churches, sacred objects like Bibles or Rosaries. We also reverence what is good and sacred in one another.
- Wonder and Awe, or Fear of the Lord is the gift of wonder and respect that encourages you to be in awe of God. The gift of wonder and awe moves you to so love God that you do not want to offend him by your words or actions.
